I kind of feel bad for taking so long to place this review, this place is fantastic. I went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and the reason I chose this place was for the Octopus, my wife loves it. To start the Octopus did not disappoint us, it was tender and delicious. Both of our main courses didn’t disappoint my wife had the Filet of Sole and I had the Skirt Steak. We both enjoyed the meal completely. I was a bit skeptical with the mushrooms on my skirt steak but the meat was well seasoned and the combination was bad after all. Mashed potatoes and even the carrots were tasty we topped of dinner with a warm apple crumb with ice cream that was out of this world. Overall great experience I forgot the young ladies name but the waitress was courteous and on point with the service. I definitely will go back. My wife can’t wait to get more Octopus.

My wife and I stopped in after sitting in traffic for two hours on 80 and 15. Found this place on a google search. Oh man, the food was amazing! Service was excellent and friendly. We loved the decor and it was a chill atmosphere. I suggest you try this place, you won’t be sorry. The food tastes so fresh!

Love the rustic vibes here. Our meals were delish and my martini was on the stronger side… so, one did the trick lol!!! Definitely will be back again!

Went here for Lunch to scope out the venue for a family event. Food was really good, Chicken franchese, Calamari and skirt steak were awesome. Service was incredible. Hopefully we can use this place for our special event in July.

I was really pleasantly surprised with Stonewood! I’m not local to the area and needed a place for a business dinner for eight of us. The menu variety was perfect to accommodate everyone and the atmosphere was nice enough without being stuffy. I’ll go back for sure if I find myself in the area! And oddly enough… definitely get the octopus. The Greek/Mediterranean flare of the food is awesome.

Had a college graduation party for our daughter tonight. 17 adults 5 kids. Did the gold package family style. Food and service was out of this world! Everyone was raving about the food! If you want a great place for a party call Andy at Stonewood. You won't be disappointed!

Rarely do I find a restaurant in my 30 years of hospitality that excels in food, service, and atmosphere! It was a late Monday evening in Byram Township after a Monday night junior league football game. I was scouring the town looking for anything that was open, around 8:58pm I drove by Stonewood Tavern made a U-turn and pulled in the parking lot. I noticed that they close at 9p. With a discouraged look on my face and two hungry kids I took a shot and walked through the door with that feeling you get when you don’t want to be “that guy”. A couple and an attentive bartender were the only ones left in the restaurant. I made a brief comment that stated “if there were any restaurants in this town open on a Monday they would make a boatload of money” I then proceeded to make a B- line towards the exit when a gentleman stood up and said “we’ll feed you” in utter dismay I turned around and said “excuse me “ The gentleman said “we will be happy to feed you” with a big welcoming smile. I said “no it’s OK, It’s already 9 PM you’re closed” and he said “no, it’s my pleasure.” I was the last person to argue considering we were all very hungry; I called the kids in and the nice gentleman sat us at a beautiful booth with a window view. I am a pretty good judge of character and have a good idea of the energy I get from people. You can usually tell if it’s genuine. I have to admit for walking in one minute before closing everyone was extremely helpful, caring and kind. We didn’t feel rushed and we received some of the best food I’ve had in this town in a long time. The food was delicious, innovative and exciting, my chicken Caesar salad had a unique Parmesan crusted wafer and chicken grilled to perfection. I have to say I felt very lucky to be receiving a meal after 9 PM in Byram and it was first class all the way. My two kids were also extremely grateful as their food was also exceptional to say the least. We didn’t speak much because everybody had a mouthful, the bartender serviced us personally and even though the restaurant was already closed, the store manager made us feel like family. I have to say if more restaurants treated their customers like this, this world would be a better place! Thank you so much to the amazing staff, generosity and compassion for their patrons. It was greatly appreciated!!

Gorgeous rustic & industrial atmosphere. Fast, friendly, & courteous service. Delicious & plentiful dishes. We’ll definitely be back!
